2018 Year in Review

Twenty Eighteen was an absolute whirlwind! From the beautiful weddings to the awesome families, there were so many happy folks to photograph! I was also presented with the incredible honor to capture The Scout Guide, and it was beyond a blast! Being able to meet so many creative and inspiring business owners was a great way to celebrate my love for Huntsville and the thriving community here. I’m stoked for the future guides, and can’t wait to showcase even more talents. Be sure to pick up a copy if you haven’t already! While we didn’t travel quite as much this year, we still had some epic adventures: rocking out to King Tuff in Nashville, seeing Radiohead in Cincinnati (landing rail, meeting Jonny Greenwood, catching Ed’s drum stick after “There, There” – it was all such a surreal experience), getting free tickets to Thom Yorke’s solo show in St. Louis (and meeting him after the show – HOLY COW Y’ALL), and our annual beach trip (always needed and much loved).

One of the most exciting things that this year has brought is the build-out of our new space! My husband and I are finally getting to combine our spaces once again at Lowe Mill. We are each getting about three times the amount of room for the record store and my photography studio. I’ll be able to grow again as a photographer (more on that coming soon), and we will be able to start hosting live shows again in the record shop. It’s been a long time coming and we absolutely can’t wait to fill the room with great energy and love! 2019 will also be the year I’m planning to introduce a couple of new business ventures – one of which is announced further down in this post!
