The tone-on-tone palette of ivory flowers and soft textures are inspired by the early winter woods that grace the grounds of Historic Cedarwood, located in Nashville, Tennessee. For a cozy gathering, natural elements were combined with glowing candles and copper touches to create an enchanting nature preserve celebration.
A macrame altar, woven with fresh flower blooms, hangs from a rustic wood frame in the woodland clearing. Wedding guests are pampered with soft knit blankets and throws on bench ceremony seating. A romantic, lakeside hanging macrame swing awaits the bride and groom in the Cedarwood treehouse for post ceremony private time and photos.
Down a natural path, guests encounter an unexpected vintage mantel on their way to a simply magical woodland setting made extra cozy with the soft glow of candlelight balancing the pristine whites of winter. An intimate community styled reception table nestled between tree stumps and fallen leaves becomes a cozy setting with personalized throws on chair backs.
Incorporating table top wine and cheese plates, we wanted to create the sense of gathering and comfort found in celebrations with family and friends sourcing local ingredients whenever possible. A warming hot cocoa and coffee station and a coconut bunt wedding cake drizzled in local honey completed the artistic folk style perfect for this couple’s Cedarwood winter wedding.
Huge thanks to the fabulous folks that made this shoot possible!
