Travel: St. Augustine & Nashville

In March my husband and I traveled to St. Augustine, Florida to explore a “beach town” we haven’t yet visited. We stayed in a cute Airbnb on St. Augustine Beach and had a wonderful time exploring that area, along with the Old City itself! We had one dreary day that we explored the cobblestone streets and ducked into places during little bursts or rain. The rest of the days were beautifully sunny! Each day started with walking the couple of blocks to the beach to watch the sunrise. Day two was spent biking and visiting the lighthouse before enjoying lunch on the beach and a long afternoon walk among the sands before crossing over to the river side to watch the sunset at Cowboy Kitchen and have a delicious feast before walking the 5+ miles back to the airbnb. Our final full day was spent visiting any shops that were closed on the day we were “in town” and then driving out to Vilano Beach and seeing the adorable Magic Beach Motel, walking the beaches on that island, and hopping around to several restaurants and sampling their seafood fares. We ended on the river side of that island to catch the sunset at a delicious place right on the water.

After a wonderful time relaxing, exploring, beaching, sightseeing, drinking, and eating (always my favorite part of a trip haha) our way all over St. Augustine, we headed north…past home…and onward to Nashville, Tennessee to visit for a couple of nights. Primarily our reason for the trip was to catch the King Tuff show, but any excuse for some additional vacation days to soak up a city is nice!
