It feels like just yesterday I was typing out my 2023 Year in Review! Now, here we are…one year later. Time really flies these days. Perhaps it was the shake up Andy & I experienced this year (having to temporarily relocate our record store and my photo studio) as that cost us an entire month for moving…or perhaps time is so fleeting that it’s hard to really encapsulate without the fun reminders from imagery (for me, anyway).
This year, we were fortunate enough to catch one of our favorite bands (King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard) twice on their US tour (Nashville & NOLA). Creatively speaking, while my photo biz plans had to be put on hold for now (hopefully can hop back to those in 2025), I joined my friends in a band called EVRYTHNGISWRNG and we played shows, recorded songs, and sent stuff in to create a tape (coming soon!) It’s been fun having new ways to fulfill that MuSt CrEaTe inkling! Other highlights of the year include visits with high school besties, kayaking adventures, beach travels, gardening, lots of live music, and of course: capturing some incredible moments for friends and clients!
One area I have been less present in is my online social media. While I do still have an instagram account, and I actually love making the collaged posts for it, I have fallen so behind in “regularly posting” – I feel like I always have to give myself a pep talk to get in that mode. While I have some other ideas I’ve been channeling my energy into, perhaps I just need to find the right flow for me when it comes to sharing my work in other places than my website. When I was on LiveJournal (lol) I remember thinking *how cool* it would be to have my own website one day. So, I’m still very much in the mindset that everything I hope folks find is on this little rabbit hole, however I know how important it can be to reach new people by expanding beyond this cranny. Anyway, here are some snippets from 2024 that were worth pushing the shutter button and freezing the moment!
